Forest Bathing at the Magic Tree Sanctuary
June 26 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
As one of the many ways to thank our volunteers, we’d like to invite you to come experience the healing power of nature in Magic Tree Sanctuary’s old growth forest. Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, forest bathing is an evidence-based wellness practice gaining momentum around the world. Some of the proven health benefits are reduced stress, lowered heart rate, boosted immune system, and improved mood. In this 2-hour immersive experience, your certified forest therapy guide, Julie Sczerbinski will lead you on a mindful walk designed to slow down, awaken your senses, and deepen your relationship with the natural world. You’ll discover a new way to be in nature and leave feeling relaxed and renewed. No actual bathing is required! Walking distance covered is less than a mile. Participants need not be ultra-fit but should be able to walk comfortably on uneven trail terrain. This event is being offered for free but pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 10 people.
