In honor or memory

If you wish to honor the life, or memorialize the death, of a loved one who had a lifelong passion for our beloved Blue Ridge region, we invite you to make a contribution in honor or memory of her/his life. We will be sure to notify the honoree or deceased’s family of your thoughtfulness.

Smart giving from your IRA

You can give any amount (up to a maximum of $111,000) this year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge without having to pay income taxes on the money. This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.
