Peaks of Otter Lodge has selected Friends of the Blue Ridge Parkway as their charitable organization.   The Festival of Trees is fun for the whole family and features a scavenger hunt for children.  On Friday nights, December 7^th, 14^th, and 21^st we will have extended hours until 9pm and there will be hot chocolate, cookies, a craft activity, and an opportunity to visit with Santa. In conjunction with the National D-Day Memorial luminary event, the Welcome Center will also have extended hours until 9pm on Saturday, December 15^th and Sunday, December 16^th.  The Festival of Trees event runs through January 4, 2019.   This event brings so much Christmas spirit and joy as we celebrate the season while helping charitable causes that are important to our community, so please help us spread the word about the festival and encourage people to come out and see all the trees and vote for your charity.  We encourage you to promote the event on social media, your websites, to your co-workers, friends, family, etc. (Attached is a copy of the poster if you would like to make copies or share electronically.)   If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me, and please follow the event on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/328440471266851/. ]]>
